information architecture

As an information architect I have discovered that most of the internet has been designed with the web site content in mind and not the web site visitor. An information architect's job is to make sure that a web site is mapped properly so visiting a web site is a pleasure and that the site is easy to use. A good experience equals a return visit and usability is always the most important key.

I have conducted usability audits and evaluations. Many projects have involved completely visualizing the page flow before the web site ever existed.

By conducting a Usability Audit you will identify major usability problems that impede the user experience, by assessing the site against recognized usability methods. A usability audit is ideal for organizations that want an initial assessment of how usable their site is within a limited timeframe and budget. A Usability Evaluation is designed for an organization that needs a more detailed investigation into the workings of their site.
