05/2005 - Present | Augusta Sportswear - Augusta, GA - Director of Ecommerce and Online Business

Work strategically with Executive management to define and communicate the strategic online plan and provide cost-effective solutions that support the company’s overall business objectives. Planned and oversaw development of the IBM WebSphere Commerce installation currently on site. This position develops, directs and oversees the organization's online ecommerce, marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives and acts as the main force behind driving business to the Internet with focus on growth and retention. Work closely with Executive management, other internal departments, outside Sales Offices and third party vendors. Responsible for Internet-related technologies and applications in B2C and B2B direct ecommerce environments.

Overall Responsibilities Defined:

WebSphere Commerce Administration
     •  Accountable for the architecture, evaluation, installation, configuration, deployment,
        and maintenance of WebSphere Commerce site and Extended Sites.

Liaison between Executive staff and Technology departments

Business process owner for all online transactions

Provide leadership in ecommerce, EDI, and drop ship initiatives

Remain on top of industry developments relating to e-commerce for the development of an e-commerce strategy

Define the online marketing strategy and plans for the company websites and intranet sites

Work with staff and other company departments to maintain a high impact web presence and to develop new marketing initiatives to drive traffic and add functional improvement to the online experience

Manage the product development process by translating user testing and customer support feedback into feature/function requirements

Monitor competitor product efforts, site changes and industry trends to take preemptive and responsive action

Analyze web metrics and make recommendations to improve website performance including new ways to drive website traffic and revenue opportunities

Clearly identifies ideal target markets and aggressively use Internet-related activities to capture these markets

Research and integrate new and cutting-edge web tools with established marketing strategies

Provided direction and input into technical staff and managed the creative staff. Ensured solutions developed were consistent with strategic business plans for each individual client. Provided leadership, guidance & mentoring to technical support team. Was responsible for assessing performance, maximizing productivity and promoting teamwork.
Other responsibilities include: Communicating effectively with internal departments, develop a plan and effectively execute the plan of the technical and creative projects. Was also responsible for budgeting and sales performance on a monthly basis.

Duties include Prototyping and user testing, Graphic User Interface design, production of advertising models, template design, liaison with programming staff over technical and code design, and presentation of prototypes to internal and third parties.

Part of the original team of an Internet application solutions company. Began as a User Interface Designer and was promoted to Information Architect, where responsibilities included: establishing intuitive information hierarchies, effective user interfaces for web sites and information systems. Provided all graphical design for web and print media applications. Other responsibilities included site development (HTML, javascript, CSS, DHTML), and client interaction. Developed, implemented, and supported web sites for multiple clients. Received formal design and layout training from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
